Have an exciting time in New York City with these 10 experiences

No matter how many times you visit New York City, there’s always so much to do! And while it’s fun to just wing your adventure, you’ll probably fit a lot more in if you do some advance planning.

Here are some of our favorites:

NYC Explorer Pass

If you plan to visit more than a few attractions, getting this pass is a good idea, as it allows you to choose from over 50 New York City attractions for one low price.

The American Museum of Natural History

You could spend an entire day at this “Night at the Museum” museum!  Tip:  Explore the Rose Center for Earth and Space to experience the brilliance of the stars.

Empire State Building Observatory

Do you remember Sleepless in Seattle, when Annie writes a letter asking Sam to meet her at the Empire State Building on Valentine’s Day?  Visit night or day, but there’s something magical about this 102-story skyscraper when it’s illuminated in the evening. It’s the perfect backdrop for a kiss!

A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour

Who doesn’t love pizza?  This guided bus tour of Brooklyn’s best pizzerias, movie locations and landmarks is off-the-beaten-path-fun.

Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum

Are you honeymooning or traveling with kids?  Spend some time here to see 30 newly restored aircrafts, the Enterprise Space Shuttle, and the British Airways Concorde!

Freedom Comprehensive Tour

Take this interesting walking tour of Lower Manhattan, the Financial District, the National 9/11 Memorial Park Plaza, and other locations. Then, at Battery Park, you’ll board the Statue Cruises’ ferry to Liberty Island.  You’ll get to tour inside Lady Liberty, and, if you want, visit Ellis Island on your own.  It’s a pretty spectacular way to see many of New York City’s iconic sights, as well as some you’ve never heard of.

The High Line

One of my favorite places to take a stroll in New York City is High Line Park, a 1.45-mile-long public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side.  Planted with various native species of perennials, grasses, shrubs and trees, it’s a welcome break from walking the city’s busy streets.

Central Park

Central Park is just brimming with romantic spots, from the pretty Bow Bridge, which stretches gracefully across the Lake, connecting Cherry Hill and the natural jumble of the Ramble, to the Boathouse Restaurant, which looks south out over the Lake, offering one of the most beautifully pastoral vistas in the park.  And of course, you’ll want to take a horse and carriage ride, won’t you?

World Yacht Dinner Cruise

Dine beneath the stars while gazing at some of the most exceptional views you can have of Manhattan!
